Glenda C. McGroom, age 80, was born on May 20, 1944 in Pangburn, Arkansas to Mell and Hope Pruett. Glenda grew up in Memphis, Tennessee where she worked at a bubble gum factory and also worked at Baddour Inc. until becoming disabled. She also helped her daughter, Tina sell Avon for social activity and gain friendships.

Glenda had always been a loving person, she didn't meet a stranger and would give the shirt off her back to help people. She had the kindest heart. She loved her family and enjoyed family get-togethers. She was always such a comedian and full of laughs. Glenda spent her last two years in Woodlawn Heights Nursing Home where she enjoyed playing bingo and dominoes. She also loved being able to see her family and play with great-grandkids; everyone loved her!
Glenda was saved when she was 38. She was a child of God and loved the Lord. She went home to be with the Lord surrounded by family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leslie McGroom; her parents, Mell Pruett and Hope Pruett; brother, Robert Pruett; two grandsons, Dalton May and Dillon Ma and; two sons-in-law, Joe Reed and Rick Mitchell.

Glenda was a loving mom, aunt, sister, grandma, great-grandma and friend. Glenda is survived by her son, Daryl (Debbie) McGroom; two daughters, Tina Mitchell (Dwight Treadway) and Lisa Reed; grandchildren, Darcy (Cameron) Moser, Danielle May (Michael Pitts), Amanda (Corey) McTigrit, Leslie Reed (Larson Palmer), Mitchell (Carrie) Miller; great-grandkids, Trinity May, Karson Pitts, Blazeleigh Moser, Westen McTigrit, Kaebrie Pitts, Ireland Miller, Hunter Miller; nieces, Sandy (Jason) Longmire and Amanda (Paul) Hendrix; she also leaves behind several friends and family.

Although she is dearly missed, her family takes comfort in knowing that she's home in Heaven, free and at peace with the Lord.

Visitation is Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 6:00-8:00PM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services are Friday, June 21, 2024, 2:00PM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas with Brother Gary Don Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow the service at Flatwoods Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas.

Pallbearers are Dwight Treadway, Cameron Moser, Corey McTigrit, Larson Palmer, Larry Cook, Paul Hendrix and Jason Longmire. Honorary pallbearers are Hilton Sullivan, Glen VanEvera and Michael Pitts.

Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.
