Charles "Buddy" M Nooner

of Conway, AR

November 17, 1945 - June 16, 2024

Charles ''Buddy'' Marion Nooner, went home to be with the Lord on Father's Day, June 16th, 2024 at the age of 78. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lavada Wofford Barnett and Albert Nooner; sisters, Louise Smotherman and Cordia Sanson; as well as a young grandson, Tyler Cloon.

Buddy is survived by his wife, Carmen; sons, William and Eric; four grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews.

His sons and grandchildren live in California, where he resided until he retired in 2001. He and Carmen moved back to Conway at that time to help care for his ailing mother.

Buddy was a wonderful son, a terrific husband and although he had a difficult time expressing his emotions, he loved his sons dearly.

It was his wish to have no viewing or any services at this time. Think of him fondly and know he is at peace.

To my dear Carmen and to the rest of my Uncle Buddy’s family, my heart is broken at the loss of my Buddy. I have always called him my Buddy. He was the big brother I always wanted and some of my favorite memories are when he and Grandma lived with us in NC. He taught me to kick a football better than most boys did and if I was really good he would let me peel off the dead skin where he had gotten a sunburn on his back. I thought that was really fun to do. He would take up for me, buy me ice cream cones if I didn’t have any money and just made me feel special. Loved to tease me and make me laugh. He has always been my hero. His suffering is over now and he passed away peacefully which is what I prayed for. My dear Carmen took such good care of my Buddy and I am eternally grateful to her for all she did for him always and the care she also gave my Grandma and Aunt Cordia until they passed. So blessed to have her in our family. My love and prayers are with you and may happy memories help you through the days ahead. My brother Larry told me yesterday there is a big domino game going on in Heaven now as the family loved playing dominoes. God Bless you and much love.
