Peggy Hazel, age 90, of Conway, Arkansas passed away on June 17, 2024. She was born on February 9, 1934 in Uniontown, Arkansas to the late Lee and Minnie Morton Howell. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Erwin Hazel, as well as three brothers and three sisters.
Peggy moved with her family to Conway at the age of three, where they farmed 80 acres, with cotton being the main money crop. Growing up she loved sports, especially basketball and bull riding. She also enjoyed old movies, country and gospel music and having family and friends drop by anytime day or night. Peggy was a member of Liberty Church of Christ and enjoyed a long career until her retirement from Kimberly Clark.
She is survived by her son, Gary (Dana) Hazel; daughter, Sandy (Raymond) Evatt; granddaughters, Tonya, Rachel; grandsons, Chris, Chad; 4 great granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway.

Sandy, I am SO sorry to hear that you have lost your Mom. She was a very sweet lady. But you are blessed to have had her in your life this long. I just today found out about this and today is the 21st. So I have missed her service, and am so sorry. Melonie Mallett Bradley

Gary and Sandy,. I am so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. Sad loss for everyone because your mom was a wonderful lady to everyone including all your girlfriends Sandy that was always at your house. We loved those days. Now she is up there with my mom and all the other ladies from church smiling at us all and knowing that one day we will all be together.
So sorry for your loss. Will miss being able to stop in and visit. Lots of happy memories.

I am so sorry for your loss. Peggy was such a sweet soul. One of the first people I met at Kimberly Clark, she made me feel at home. Prayers of comfort to you all.
