Irma Ruth Spradlin Madden passed away on June 11, 2024, at the age of 87. She was born on April 7, 1937, to Eugene and Zola Spradlin in the Barney Community in Enola, Arkansas.
She attended Enola School where she graduated in 1956. She married Millard Madden in 1955 before she graduated high school. She retired from the Conway Human Development Center in Conway, Arkansas. After retirement she moved back to Rogersville, Tennessee and was a caregiver to many. She was a member of the LDS church where she taught primary Sunday school for several years. She always loved children and taking care of people.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Millard J. Madden; son, Keith Madden whom she adored; brother, O'Neal Spradlin; sister, Brenda Rains of Conway, Arkansas; parents, Eugene and Zola Spradlin; In laws, Roy and Ola Madden of Conway, Arkansas.
She is survived by her daughter and caregiver, Mary (Bert) Russell of Rogersville, Tennessee; son, David (Lisa) Madden of Prescott, Arkansas; brother, Tim Spradlin of Arkansas; sister-in-law, Deola Davis (Elmer) of Conway, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Wanda Hamilton Long and her family.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway. Visitation will be held from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
The final resting place is at Crest Lawn Memorial Park, Conway, Arkansas, alongside with her husband and son.

Our deepest condolences go out to the family. We always enjoyed visiting Irma and Millard in their home. We will miss the Christmas card she sent us each year, updating us on her life and her family's. May the Lord's choicest blessings be upon your good family in this time of loss.

My prayers go out to Ruth’s family. She was my shift coordinator at CHDC prior to retirement. I enjoyed working under Mrs. Madden. She will always truly be missed.
She was a very kind lady. I know she will be missed. My prayers for the family.
Irma was a special person. She will be missed. had a lot of good times at Barney when we were growing up
Dear family of Irma Ruth Spradlin Madden, please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss of Irma Ruth. My husband, Ronald L. Spradlin, and I always admired and loved Irma. I recently experienced the loss of my sweetheart and husband Ron after 62 years of marriage. We both knew and loved Irma's parents, Eugene and Zola. We had many visits with them in the years past. I remember knowing Irma's brother O'Neal Spradlin and his wife and Irma's sister, Brenda. May you all be comforted by sweet memories of this lovely lady.
