Betty Louise Keefer

of Greenbrier, AR

April 8, 1927 - June 16, 2024

Betty Louise Keefer, 97, of Greenbrier, Arkansas reunited with the love of her life, Albert, on Sunday, June 16, 2024. Betty, more affectionately known as Grandma, was born at home April 8, 1927 to the late Elbe and Mary Wandel in Ionia, Michigan. She had two sisters and five brothers, all of whom have passed. Betty married Grandpa 6 days after her 18th birthday, on April 14, 1945. Grandma's job and she did it proudly, was taking care of her family. Her house always had fresh bread or donuts baking. Sunday dinners were the best because we knew she had spaghetti salad in her big pink bowl. Grandma was the Queen of cards, she out played us all. She loved all card games, but her favorite was canasta. Betty enjoyed playing well into her 90's. Grandma always had an ear to listen with, a heart full of love and the best hugs; we will miss you.

She is survived by her three children, Sandra (Dave) Feher, Dennis (Val) Keefer and Debra (Brian) Guge; five grandchildren, Scott Feher, Laura (John) Bristley, Lacie (Eric) Rasmussen, Anthony (Kelly) Guge, Melissa (Zac) Reynolds; many great-grandchildren and one great-great grand.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00PM on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier, Arkansas. Graveside Service will be Friday, June 21st at 10:00AM at Crestlawn Memorial Park.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice Home care for the love and care they provided.

Betty and Al were great neighbors and friends of my parents. The 4 of them were often on the patio together when we arrived for a visit. Betty always had a smile and a hug (and often a cold beer) to welcome us fellow Michiganders:)
Our sympathy to her family for their loss.

I always loved going over to Betty and Al’s when visiting my grandparents. I remember winning many sparkly rings and a big gold purse from our card games. Looking back, Betty probably let me win! So sorry to hear of her passing.

I always loved stopping. By for a visit. Which always included a game of cards.
Paul always loved her cry baby cookies. She gave me the recipe and I made them once. It made so many. I baked cookies for hours. Then I knew why she always had some in the freezer when we were there.
She will be remembered with love.

Debbie, Missy, & family: Our thoughts & prayers are with you during this time on the loss of your mother! I didn't realize her whole name was Betty Louise, which just happened to be my mother's name too! She had lots of love surrounding her and I'm so glad I got to know her, even if only for a short time. May God wrapped His Loving Arms around each of you & give you comfort & peace.

She always had a story to tell with a smile at the end of the story. Wonder if it was true or not. Most of the time it was true. Rember one reunion her sisters were sitting together and they all had the same purses. We all lol.
