Donald Ray ''Shanks'' Carter, 65, of Manila passed away Friday, June 14, 2024. He was born January 21, 1959 to the late Bennie and Margurite Moore Carter. He was an retired Truck Driver for Johnny Jennings Farms. Donald was an avid hot rod enthusiast and loved competing at George Ray's Dragstrip in Paragould with his brother, Joe and in Dyersburg TN. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews to whom he thought of as his own kids. He always was happy and wanted to make everyone laugh and happy as well. He is survived by his sisters, Martha Crowe, Kitty Bunch and Donna Faye Hiser and brothers, Arthur Carter, Paul Carter and Ricky Carter. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Vernon Carter and Joe Carter.
