Margaret H. Laymon, age 88, of Heber Springs passed from this life on Thursday, June 13th, 2024 at her home. She was born in Marshall, Arkansas on June 19th, 1935 to Doyle Guy Kimbrell and Abbie Edna Overstreet Kimbrell.
Margaret was a member of the Central Arkansas Iris Society and loved gardening and flowers, especially Iris's. Margaret was a strong and well-respected woman and her presence will be greatly missed by her family.
Survivors include her children, Paula Gail Laymon Ray (Michael Don Ray) and Gary Wayne Laymon; siblings, Eva Gladys Kimbrell, Edna Jean Sitton (Chester) and Doyle Kimbrell Jr. (Shirley) and many extended family who will also mourn her passing.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Doyle and Abbie Kimbrell; one grandson, Michael Wayne Laymon; the father of her children, Paul Mason Laymon and siblings, Mary Mildred Freeman (J.D.), Juanita Louise Kelley (Denver) and Ruby Mae Hulsey (Rufus).
Private family burial will be in Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Leslie, Arkansas.

Paula, We're so sorry about your mom's passing. I still fondly remember my first visit to your home & meeting your Mom and rest of your family. She let you bring your brand new Yankee roommate home to visit, even though you & I had just met!
