Paul Rains, age 88, of Leslie, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 8th, 2024 at Ozark Health Nursing and Rehab. He was born in Leslie, Arkansas on January 14th, 1936 to Ulis Rains and Sally Overstreet Rains. Paul was married to Ellen Goldsmith Rains.
Paul was a deacon and faithful member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Marshall, Arkansas. He was a member of the Searcy County Gideon's International Organization that distributes Bibles around the world. Paul served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired Industrial Engineer from Boeing Aircraft. He loved time with his family and going to church. Paul's greatest desire was to share with others the blessings of our Lord and God's gift of salvation.
Paul leaves behind his loving wife, Ellen; their three daughters, Catrina (Ben), Jeanetta and Pauletta (David); his three grandchildren, Courtney (Greg), Chelsea, David Paul, plus his bonus grandson, Cody. He also leaves behind his youngest legacy, great-granddaughters, Serena and Cora. Almost like a son, he leaves behind his dear friend, Noah.
Funeral services for Paul will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 11th, 2024 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Matt Bagby officiating. Burial will follow in Nubbin Hill Cemetery. Bearers include sons-in-law, Ben and David, grandsons, David Paul and Greg and friends, Noah and Matt. Honorary bearers are Stan Hayes, Ray Younger, Coy Lee Horton, Kelly Horton and David Nondorf.

Paul was a good man. He will be missed by all who knew him. His family has my sympathy. The Landmark Missionary Church has my sympathy also.
We will miss brother Paul so very much. We are praying for all of you during this difficult time.
I am so thankful that through our Savior Jesus Christ we have the assurance that we will be together again.

What a wonderful blessing Uncle Paul was to my life and the lives of everyone he encountered. I can hear his gentle, deep voice and quick wit and laugh. My heart is with you Aunt Ellen, Catrina, J, and Pauletta. I love you.

We were so very sorry to hear of the loss of Paul.
Paul was a good Christian man that we had the privilege of going to Landmark Church with for many years. He will be missed.

So sorry to know that Brother Paul has passed he was and still is a great friend my heart pains for his beloved family who he loved without measure and who will miss his presence however knowing Paul I know where he is at this very time and having that knowledge my heart smiles for Paul for he is with the Lord plus countless family and friends
Paul was an exception man who loved his family and the Lord. On the few occasions I met him I was exceptionally blessed to have been in his presence. Ellen and family know you’re in our prayers.

We will miss seeing Mr Rains at the Barber Shop every Friday. He always had a smile on his face and a kind word. Prayers for his family during this time of loss.
