Carolyn Sue Childers, age 82, of Russellville, Arkansas passed from this life on Friday, June 7th, 2024 at Stella Manor in Russellville, Arkansas. She was born in Mound City, Missouri on November 24th, 1941 to Frank Lee Rachau and Faye Ellen Helms Rachau. She was married to John William ''Jake'' Childers who passed away in 1986.

Sue worked as a truck driver for Prime for 10 plus years. She was a very hardworking woman with a strong work ethic. She held many jobs throughout her work history including, Flintrock Shirt Factory, Walmart and Tyson's where she worked as a USDA Quality Control Specialist. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed crafting, gardening (especially her flowers) and travelling. Sue loved the outdoors but was also a wonderful housekeeper. Her children often referred to her as ''Cinderella'' because when she showed up something was going to get cleaned. Sue was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and her strong presence will be greatly missed by her family.

Survivors include her children, Patty Dotson and fiancé, Tommy Coleman of Goodman, MO, Sandra Baird and husband, Kenneth of Pottsville, John Childers and wife, Linda of Clinton and Tammy Lillard and husband, Frank of Hartville, MO; nineteen grandchildren; forty-three great-grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Monroe of Bondurant, IA; sisters-in-law, Pat Rachau of Richland, MO and Sally Reed and husband, David of FL and many extended family and friends who will also mourn her passing.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Faye Rachau; her husband, John William Childers; son, Michael Hannon and siblings, Madgie Foote, Clifford Allen ''Butch'' Rachau, Mary Margueritte Nagunst, Frank Adelbert Rachau Sr., William C. ''Bill'' Rachau and Robert Leroy Rachau and one infant brother, Lester LaVern Rachau.

Funeral services for Sue will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 11th, 2024 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas. Visitation will be 10:00 till 11:00 AM preceding the service. Burial will be in Dongola Cemetery where Sue will be laid to rest beside her husband John William. Bearers will be Chad Richardson, Jeremy Durham, Tony Durham, Brandan Ragland, Carson Ragland and Tanner Freeman.
