of Mountain View, AR
February 17, 1962 - May 31, 2024
Cindy Paulette Daniel Ellis, born February 17, 1962 in Pekin, Illinois, left this world and a giant hole in all of our lives on May 31, 2024 in Mountain View, Arkansas. She was born to Paul Oliver Daniel and Patty Ruth Blaylock Daniel of Fox, Arkansas.
Cindy lived a life that's difficult to sum up in a few short words. She broke through the glass ceiling in 1998 as the first female police officer of Stone County, Arkansas and ended her career of public service as a Juvenile Probation Officer. She had a true servant's heart and touched many lives. There has never been a more loyal friend than her. She raised two daughters, but she was Mom to many more. She took in a lot of strays and mothered anyone who needed it. Her shoulders, though small, were always big enough to cry on, and when you needed a safe place to be, her arms were always available. When she loved you, you knew that she would burn the whole world down to protect you if she had to. She loved to garden and kept her house like a showroom. She loved to travel and she always felt lucky to have seen so much of the world. She never once lost her love of laughter and what an infectious laugh it was. She worked like a mule and taught us all that being strong and brave is simply a matter of holding your head up high and putting one foot in front of the other. When she knew her time was drawing to a close she asked me to write her obituary and while normally words come pretty easy for me, sitting on the deck of her house on the hill, I can't seem to find enough of them to capture what a big personality she was. She was special and we loved her so much.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Patty Daniel and her sisters, Rebecca Diane Daniel Gunn of Fox, Arkansas and Mona Elizabeth Daniel Harper of Prim, Arkansas.
She is survived by her children, Lacey Ann Roper, Corey Britt and Thomas Roy Fuller; her grandchildren, Laurie McCrae Turner, Blaise Daniel Turner and Rhyatt Halen; her brother, Paul Douglas Daniel and remaining friends, family and bonus children of which there are too many to name.
There will be a memorial service held at her home on Saturday, June 8th, 2024 from 11am to 2pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Stone County Humane Society.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home of Mountain View are in charge of these arrangements.
