Vance Frederick Clark was born September 20, 1953 in El Dorado, Arkansas and passed away on Sunday May 26, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick B. and Margaret Clark. He is survived by wife, Lorena Azua-Clark; daughter, Dixie Hattaway (Wayne); son, Steven Clark (ZJ); sister, Kathy Mesko (Allan, deceased); sister, Pat Cheatham (Darrell); step-daughter, Zuri Mendoza; step-son Xavier Mendoza and several nieces and nephews.

Vance received more then 250 college credits and earned five degrees after the age of 60. He received five honorable discharges from the Army, Navy and National Guard over the period of 14 years. His maternal great-great-grandfather was the third governor of Arkansas. He worked at USPS for 10 years and traveled more than two million miles over 16 years as a professional truck driver.

His desire to perfect his Spanish to help others took him to Quito, Ecuador to attend the Academia Latinoamericana de Espanol. During his 10 years living in Ecuador to specialize in the Spanish language, he worked as an English teacher for children of the Lidel 26 de Septiembre Educational School from 2012 to 2013 in Puerto Lopez Ecuador, where he was loved and known as 'el profe' (the teacher). A year later he got to know his beloved wife, Lorena and her entire harmonious family who supported him by giving him love and affection. They got married on May 31, 2019 in Tampa, Florida and enjoyed five beautiful years of marriage.

During his marriage with Lorena, he was introduced to the University Spanish Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses, where he was a regular attendant accompanying Lorena. Vance was loved and appreciated for his humility, hospitality, charisma and his beautiful smile.

Vance recibió más de 250 créditos universitarios y obtuvo cinco títulos después de los 60 años. Recibió cinco bajas honorables del Ejército, la Armada y la Guardia Nacional durante un período de 14 años. Su tatarabuelo materno fue el tercer gobernador de Arkansas. Trabajó en USPS durante 10 años y viajó más de dos millones de millas durante 16 años como camionero profesional.

Su deseo de perfeccionar su español para ayudar a otros lo llevó a Quito, Ecuador, para asistir a la Academia Latinoamericana de Español. Durante sus 10 años viviendo en Ecuador para especializarse en el idioma español, trabajó como profesor de inglés para niños en el Centro Educativo Lidel 26 de Septiembre entre los años 2012 a 2013 en Puerto López Ecuador donde fue querido y conocido como 'el profe'. Un año después conoció a su amada esposa Lorena y a toda su armoniosa familia quienes lo apoyaron brindándole amor y familiaridad. Se casaron el 31 de mayo de 2019 en Tampa, Florida y disfrutaron de cinco hermosos años de matrimonio.

Durante su matrimonio con Lorena, conoció la Congregación University Spanish de los Testigos de Jehová, donde asistió regularmente acompañando a su amada Lorena.


Vance fue amado y apreciado por su humildad, hospitalidad, carisma y su hermosa sonrisa.
