On October 15, 1941, God sent a precious soul to dwell on this Earth and on May 24, 2024, He called Trudy Hodges home. She passed away peacefully with family at her home in Enola.
Trudy adored kids and was an avid animal lover. She worked at CHDC for many years until she retired in 2005; a job she loved and missed every day. In retirement she enjoyed smoking a cigarette, drinking a cup of coffee and reading a good book.
She is survived by daughters, Jenny Hodges, Heather Ellington, Linda Denton; son, Richard Fulton; her brothers, Gary McArthur, Steve McArthur and Ricky McArthur; grandchildren, Bella Davis, Michael Hilton, Jamie Blackwell, Brandy Parkin and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many more children that were not hers but called her Mom, nonetheless.
Preceding her in death: Her son, Dwayne; husband, Sanford W. Hodges; parents, Floy McArthur and Ansel Reynolds; brothers, Darrell Reynolds and David McArthur and sister, Sandra Hanry. Pallbearers will be Steve McArthur, Stase Cannon, Michael Hilton, Shawn Newland and Steven Milsap
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. and the funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on May 30, 2024 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier 501-679-2575. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ASPCA.
