Scott Kenneth Bowman and his beloved wife Jaclyn Gayle Englehart Bowman were called home to be with their Lord on May 13, 2024.
Left behind to cherish their memories are their precious children, Helen Margaret Gwin, Finn Archer Bowman, and Elle Louise Bowman of the home; along with sons Carter Benjamin Bowman of Navarre, Florida, and Henry Grey Bowman, of St. Louis, Missouri; and bonus daughter Lucy Naegle of St. Louis.
Scott and Jaclyn are also survived by their parents, stepfather, and bonus parents, Lynda Englehart, Michael Englehart (Connie Turner); Sandra Wasicek (James Wasicek), and Robert ''Buddy'' Bowman (Carol Fike).
Scott is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Dr. Robert Blake Bowman and Christie Bowman of Collierville, Tennessee; stepsister Marie McLaughlin (Scott) of Metairie, Louisiana, and stepbrother David Wasicek of New Orleans, Louisiana.
Jaclyn is preceded by her paternal grandparents, Al and Patsy Englehart, and maternal grandparents, C.D. and Gail Ervin. Scott is preceded by his maternal grandparents Jerry and Wanda Tucker, and paternal grandparents Robert Bowman and Charlotte Monk.
Known for her kind-hearted nature and tremendous love for her family, Jaclyn's role as a mother was her most treasured-she absolutely adored her beautiful children and was always happy to share a picture, a cute story, and family time with all who loved them. Her soft, sweet spirit and radiant smile warmed their home. Jaclyn was artistic, and an aficionado of various types of music. She was an accomplished diver, achieving her certification at the age of 10. She was a baker of delicious desserts, and a planner of celebrations. She is remembered as being highly attuned to the perspective and feelings of others, and as one who expressed her love more freely than most-she ended every text, call, and visit with a sweet and easy ''We love you'' and a warm hug. Her family absolutely loved and admired her, and she will be profoundly missed.
Scott's greatest happiness and source of pride were his children and family. He loved each of his children fiercely and cherished the time he spent with them. Scott was a great storyteller and loved to laugh and just enjoy life itself. He is remembered as one who never met a stranger. His love for people was reflected in the ease with which he made many friends. He was well-read on a variety of topics and could surprise and entertain others with his encyclopedic memory for obscure facts. He enjoyed various sports and outdoor activities and had a penchant for being fearless in his approach to tackling a new challenge-resulting in many humorous anecdotes through the years. He was resourceful and could always figure out a way to solve a problem. He was quick to offer help to anyone he could. Scott always kept a positive outlook, and shared encouragement and love with others. He wanted everyone to be happy and feel loved.
Scott's big grin and the joy he found in his children will be fondly remembered and treasured by all who knew him.
Scott and Jaclyn's story began as childhood sweethearts. While they went their separate ways for several years, they remained friends, and were ultimately reunited and married. Together, Scott and Jaclyn had found their happiness. Their personalities complimented
each other, and in addition to raising a young family, they had been actively working together pursuing degrees that would further Scott's career with Baptist Medical Center and would allow Jaclyn to work from home while rearing their children. Jaclyn recently completed her degree in Information Technology.
The families invite those who knew and loved Jaclyn and Scott to join in a joint Celebration of Life memorial service to be held at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, 650 Central Landing Blvd., in Conway, Arkansas on Saturday, June 8th, at 2:00 p.m.
I’m just now finding out about this, and I’m absolutely gutted. I had seen or spoken to Jaclyn in several years, but I had hoped things were going well for her. It seems like they were going great for her! I just don’t understand what could have happened. Jaclyn was an extremely talented artist, and I feel lucky to have a few of her drawings and sketches that she gave to me as gifts. I’ll always remember your sweet smile, Jaclyn. You didn’t give your trust or your love out to just anyone. They had to earn it. I’ll miss you with all my heart, and I will always regret not being able to have the chance to say goodbye. Love ya, Jackie. Fare thee well, traveler. You made a huge impact on my life, and I’ll never forget that.
"Inspiration, move me brightly. Light the song with sense of colour. Hold away despair. More than this I will not ask. Faced with mysteries dark and vast. Statements just seem vain at last"
This is so heartbreaking. My prayers are with the children. Jaclyn was a little cousin of mine, but we weren't close for some reason. I wish I would have reached out more. Rest in peace you two, I will do whatever I can to help with those precious babies.
Sweet Jaclyn, man what can I say. I'm missing you hard. I'm so sorry we missed time together. You will forever be missed and I hate that you left this world too soon..I will forever hold you and Scott's last visit at the hospital in my . I love you!
Scott was always quick to laugh, and always was cracking jokes to make me smile. Growing up, my favorite memories of thanksgiving were with him. He loved to play games with all us cousins when we were little! My brothers and I would go find him at family gatherings because he had the best video games to pass time waiting for the food. I always tried to pick him first when choosing teams for board games, especially Pictionary. Scott, you’ll be missed, and you were so loved. I look forward to cracking jokes with you again one day up in heaven. Rest in peace, cousin.
Scott, when I heard the news about you, I was devastated. I promise to keep you in Carters thoughts throughout the coming years. I am going to miss your smile and twinkling eyes, they are beautiful. I’m still having a hard time believing you are gone. Jaclyn, I never had the opportunity to meet you. Alex told me she was certain Scott had found his true love. This gives me comfort.
May both of you rest in love and piece.

Jaclyn, I’ll always remember that adorable mischievous face of yours at the daycare. It seems like a lifetime ago when our families hung out. Those years are precious memories. I hope you are at peace and can now rest. You will be missed by many!
