of Mountain Home, AR
September 6, 1935 - May 17, 2024
Patsy Sue (Minton) Nicholson, age 88, and in her later years having resided in Mountain Home, AR, passed from this life into Glory on Friday, May 17, 2024. Pat was born on September 6, 1935, in Jonesboro, AR, to James M. and Edyth (Montgomery) Minton.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Dale Nicholson of Mountain Home, with whom she had worked alongside in the wholesale plumbing business for over 50 years; their son, Richard Scott Nicholson of Mountain Home; her parents, James and Edyth Minton of Jonesboro; her sister, Daisy Thomas of Moore, OK; her brothers, Don Minton of Jonesboro, and Ronnie Minton of Kansas City, MO.
Pat is survived by three daughters, Kimberly Dale (John) Harville of Enola, Melanie Ann (Jim) Kennedy of Fairfield Bay, Tanda Lee (M.T.) Francis of Tulsa, OK, and daughter-in-law, Jayme Nicholson of Mountain Home; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her younger sister, Nancy Childs of Atlanta, GA, and brother-in-law, Robert Nicholson of Sierra Vista, AZ.
Pat and Dale owned and operated National Supply Company in Mountain Home from 1985 until their retirement in 2011. They also owned and operated similar businesses in Blytheville, AR, and Poplar Bluff, MO, prior to 1985.
The couple raised their four children in Blytheville where they were active at First Baptist Church. Pat loved singing and was a faithful choir member. Her family is comforted in knowing that their mom and "Nana" is now singing praises with a heavenly chorus in the presence of her Savior and Lord and is reunited with loved ones whom she has missed so much, especially in the last few years of her life.
A memorial service will be planned for a later date. Pat's family wishes to thank the staff at Greenbrier Nursing and Rehabilitation Center who cared for her so well the past several months.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Blytheville, AR, or the philanthropy of your choice.
Kim, Melanie and Tanda,
Very sorry to hear about your Mom. She was a very nice and classy lady. She will be missed by all who knew her. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
On behalf of the Childs family and especially from Pat’s sister, Nancy, we send our condolences. Our mom treasured her relationship with Pat and always looked forward to her calls. I had the opportunity to talk to Pat quite often during the last few years. She was fun to talk to and very sharp. She was so proud of all their kids and their families. I enjoyed talking to her and will really miss her. I’ll always have a special place in my heart for Pat and Dale and all their kids. They made our brief time in Blytheville special and I’ve got great memories of those times together. Praying for peace and comfort for your family…
So sorry for your loss, your entire family are in my thoughts and prayers.
