Lloyd Adams, Jr. of Bay, AR, known to his family and friends as Butch, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 75 years. He was born June 20, 1948 in Jonesboro to Lloyd Lee and Mary Elizabeth (Neal) Adams. Butch was a farmer and a member of Abundant Life Tabernacle Church in Bono. He loved fishing, hunting, serving the Lord and most of all, aggravating his kids.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Wesley Adams and David Adams and two sisters, Teresa Emerson and Patsy Hartsell.
Those left behind to cherish the wonderful memories of Butch include his wife of 57 years, Janie (Crews) Adams; a son, Gary (Tina) Adams; a daughter, Lisa (Lee) Dillard; grandchildren, Lindsey (Andy) Ooley, Cody Phillips, Candace (Erik) Matthews, Jordan (Jen) Phillips, Colton Dillard and Zach (Katie) Adams; great-grandchildren, Kambri Ooley, Journee Dillard, Kiera Phillips, Waylon Phillips, Georgia Phillips, Henry Matthews, Aurora and Jasper and two more on the way; two brothers, Donnie (Mary) Adams and Terry (Roma) Adams; two sisters, Mary Whitlock and Janet (Ralph) Kain; several nieces and nephews and many other loved family members and friends.
Graveside services will be at 1 pm Monday, May 20, 2024 at the Pine Log Cemetery pavilion in Brookland with Bros. George Ezell and Tony Becker officiating.
John Owens, Mattew Kain, Jerry Dunning, Donald Kain, Jordan Phillips and Andy Ooley will serve as pallbearers. Zach Adams and Colton Dillard will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be 2-4 pm Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro.
