Henry ''Sonny'' Hays, 85, of Shirley, Arkansas departed from this world peacefully at home on evening of May 11, 2024. He was born on February 19, 1938 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Denny Brown and Laura Self.
Sonny served in the United States Navy and was a welder by trade. He loved his family, friends, fishing and fast cars.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Rosemary Hays; children, Laura (Craig) Breedlove of Shirley, Arkansas, Sam (Brandy) Hays, David (Ruth) Hays of Texas; three stepchildren, Kathy, Jacque, Russell also of Texas; grandchildren, Shelby (Nolan) Friend, Bryce (Makayla) Hays, Baylee (Austin) Clark, Kendyl (MaKall) Mosley, Layla Hays, Jordan Hays, Dean Hays, Claudia Hays, Angelee Hays and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2024 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, Arkansas. Funeral Services are Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Roller McNutt Funeral Home with Brother Alan Rolen officiating. Interment will follow at Lute Mountain Cemetery in Shirley, Arkansas.
