William E. Moore, 85, of Little Rock passed away May 10, 2024. He was born on January 1, 1939 in Little Rock, the son of Dr. Robert B. Moore and Lena Belle (Barber) Moore. He was a 1956 graduate of Little Rock Central High School. His extensive education included degrees from Baylor University, Princeton Theological Seminary, the University of Oregon and the University of Michigan where he earned his Doctor of Philosophy degree.

For many years he resided in Ann Arbor, Michigan where he was a senior staff member of the Center for Research on Learning and Teaching at the University of Michigan. He retired from the University and moved back to Little Rock, where in recent years he had taught part-time in the Adventures in Learning program (Great Books Course) of LifeQuest of Arkansas.

He is survived by his son, Michael A. Moore; his brother, Robert B. Moore (Norma); his sister, Ann Cromwell; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place, a family graveside will be held at 11:00 a.m, Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Roselawn Memorial Park, North Lawn Lot 265. Arrangements by Roller Chenal Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to LifeQuest of Arkansas or a charity of your choice.

Bill taught the Great Books course at LifeQuest from 1988 - 2020. He shared his love of reading with many people who became devoted to his classes. In my position at LifeQuest, I enjoyed getting to know him a little and relied on his steadfastness and attention to detail. He will be missed.
