Helen Jacqueline LoopI am a Veteran.

of Mountain Home, AR

August 31, 1942 - May 3, 2024

Helen Loop of Mountain Home, Arkansas graduated from this earth to join the Lord in Heaven on May 3, 2024. Helen was born the oldest of three girls to Roland & Audrey Taylor in Clinton, Massachusetts on August 31, 1942. In 1960, at age 18, Helen was the first woman from Clinton to join the US Marine Corps. She met her husband, Raymond Loop of 56 years, while they were both serving the USMC. They have three children together and had countless adventures with one another.

Helen believed fully in serving your country and community and led by example every opportunity that she had. After her military service ended she continued to support her husband through his 22 years of military service to the USMC. Helen has served her community in California, Utah and Arkansas over 30 years of serving the Elks Foundation, both as a spouse of a member and later as a member herself. She was also a tireless leader in volunteering for every church that she had the privilege to be a member of. Helen often spearheaded events and activities with a fierce attitude and a full heart, contagiously encouraging others to do the same. Helen loved to travel, bake, garden and enjoyed the still quiet of mornings on her patio with a blanket in her lap and a cup of coffee at her side. She loved to give her best friend, Nancy, all the grief she could. She never loved the spotlight, often avoiding credit where credit was due. She loved family and friends and most of all, adventures.

Helen is survived by her children, Rebecca (Ron), Ray (Jamie) & Brian; her grandchildren, Jacqueline (Brittan), Michael James, Kiera, Savannah & Lorelei; her great-grandchildren, Aeden & Kayson; as well as her mother, Audrey & sisters, Nancy & Judy (Jess). Helen is greeted as she enters on this final adventure by her husband, Ray Loop & father, Roland Taylor.
