Evetta Mae (Hale) Young Hency, 81, a resident of Clarksville passed away Friday, April 26, 2024 at Conway Regional Hospital with family at her side.
Evetta was born March 14, 1943 in Lamar to James and Edna (Pierce) Hale. Evetta enjoyed riding in the mountains, singing harmony and spending time with her family and her baby, Pebbles. She loved her hometown of Clarksville and was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Clarksville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; as well as a brother, Clifford Hale; three sisters, Velma Linman, Ellen Dugan, Wanda Palmer; a great granddaughter, Shannyn Skinner and a grandson, Jason Sanders.
Evetta is survived by her children, Evelyn Keith and husband, Tim of Clarksville, Carolyn Phillips of Hartman, Betty Hicks of Lamar, Mary Sanders and husband, Mike of Clarksville; a stepson, Bobby Broadway, Jr. of Clarksville; nine grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 29, 2024 at Fort Douglas Cemetery with Brother Frank Shook officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home in Clarksville.
We will always love, miss and honor our dear mother.
Pallbearers will be Ethan Moody, Calvin Cowell, Tim Keith, Brett Fromdahl, Michael Robinson and Billy Hutchinson. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Ray Phillips, Chase Thomas, Neal Hicks, Josh Sanders, Byran Moody and Joshua Parnell.
Sorry to hear of Evetta’s passing.Our love and prayers for her family.Always enjoyed seeing her back when I was working and would see each other in the morning on my way to work..I know she will be greatly missed.
