June Grubbs, 77, a resident of Fort Smith passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024 in Fort Smith. She was born on June 08, 1946 in North Little Rock to the late William Faye and Emma Gwendolyn ''Daniel'' Wright. June was known for her love of educating young minds and teaching cake decorating classes. She leaves a lasting impression for her family, friends and those that she taught to remember her by.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Julia May Wright-Boyer.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Robert S. Grubbs; her two sons, Trey Grubbs Hicks and Wesley Grubbs; one daughter, Kimberly and husband, William Copeland; two brothers, Danny Wright and Preston Alan Wright; five grandchildren, Dylan, Hannah Bender, Haylee Bender, Orson Grubbs and Lyra Grubbs; one step grandson, Drake and wife, Cassidy Copeland and one step great grandson, Wilder Copeland.
Cremation arrangements are being made under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home in Clarksville. A Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 02, 2024 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville. Interment will be held at a later date in the Fort Smith National Cemetery.
So sad to hear of June’s passing. She was a wonderful and sweet friend, and she will be missed. RIP dear friend.

I attended college with June, at Ouachita University. Fond memories of our friendship. Eternal rest grant unto her.
June's liveliness and creativity were inspiring and heart-warming. I will cherish those joyful memories and share them with my children.
I will forever be thankful for June welcoming me to this country with open arms, and soon afterward, into her heart and family.

June will always hold a place in my heart! Even when she was ill she never failed to say thank you for even the little things that were done for her. Her kindness was real. She always made me feel special!

Although, we're very thankful she is no longer suffering and is with Jesus, Mom and I will miss her dearly... She was such a good friend to my Mother and we all shared a special bond with her. Praying for the family for comfort and peace.
