Carolyn was very active in many groups in Fairfield Bay. The Fairfield Bay Tennis Club was one of her favorites and she played with many residents and timeshare visitors of all skill levels. Everyone enjoyed playing with Carolyn as she was very supportive and accepting of all. She was an original stockholder member of the Hart Center, where she was pretty much a constant fixture. She was an active member of the Hart Center hiking club and explored many of the trails in North Central Arkansas. Carolyn was also active in the FFB Fire Department Auxiliary, FFB Wild Flower Garden Club and the VFW Auxiliary #4513.

Cook and daughter, Devin Nix both of Fairfield Bay; daughter, Danica Konetski of Sugar Grove, IL; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Nye Hatcher and grandson, Michael Nix. Carolyn will be greatly missed by her many friends in Fairfield Bay and surrounding community. She especially loved her friends at the Hart Center, spending her after workout time around the table, drinking coffee, catching up on the local happenings and playing Trivial Pursuit. These folks were also her ''family.''
A celebration of life may be held at a later date.

My condolences to you John and the family. Carolyn was a kind heart who always enjoyed playing pool with the ladies at the VFW on Thursdays. We'll sorry that I just got notice of her passing. You gotta believe that mom and Carolyn are up watching over us. Love you both.
I always looked forward to seeing you mornings at the Hart Center. We enjoyed a good relationship over the years! I certainly miss you and it's going to take some time to move forward without you. Your little dog probably cannot adjust to your absence, and neither can I.
Devin, I'm so sorry for your family's loss. Carolyn was one of a kind and I will miss seeing her smiling face. Sending love and prayers.
We will miss your smiling face
We miss you sweetheart.... fly high..
I fell in love with Carolyn the first time I met her at Thursday Pool at the VFW. I dubbed her "Charlie" and always called her that. Why Because my dad's name was Charlie whom I loved dearly and loved Carolyn dearly. She will be greatly missed by all but will always remain in our hearts.
Cherish the memories and time we got to spend together she is missed.
