Jewell Mallard, 86, of Lexa, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 in Marianna, Arkansas. Mrs. Mallard was born Friday, August 27, 1937 in Truman, Arkansas to the late Aussie Lee and Beulah Brown Lee.
Jewell was a member of Lexa Baptist Church. She worked for many years as a seamstress for Bobby Brooks Sewing Factory in West Helena, Arkansas. Jewell enjoyed fishing, gardening, going to flea markets, auctions and spending time with her family.
Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Calvin Mallard of Lexa, Arkansas, David Mallard (Cammie) of West Helena, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Jenna Mallard of Lexa, Arkansas, DJ Mallard (Kayla) of Lexa, Arkansas, Will Mallard of West Helena, Arkansas, Joey Wright (Kelly) of Jasper, Alabama, Krystal Carr of Ash Down, Arkansas; eight great grandchildren, Abigail Mallard, Kurston Rieman, Riliegh Jackson, Kimberly Tidwell, Jodi Tidwell, Nathan Wright, Luke Steven Wright, Calvin Logan Wright; three brothers, James Lee (Helen) of Wheatley, Arkansas, Junior Lee (Brenda) of Kansas City, Missouri, Bill Lee of Kansas City, Missouri; sister, Geraldine Skaggs of Edmond, Oklahoma; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Jewell is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leroy Mallard; two sons, Leon Mallard, Stevie Mallard and three brothers, Charles Lee, Robert Lee, Elmer Lee.
Visitation for Jewell will be 11:00 AM Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Helena, Arkansas. A graveside service will be held at 1PM at Central Cemetery (near Lexa, Arkansas). Brother Nathan Perry will officiate.
