July 21, 1943 - April 21, 2024

Robert ''Bob'' J. Kuta, 80, of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024. He was born on July 21, 1943 in Grafton, North Dakota to Pete and Gertrude Kuta.

Bob served proudly in the United States Army. He served two tours in Vietnam and earned a Purple Heart. He later met his wife, Lynda, in Denver, Colorado, where their family began with their first child, Sarah. When they moved to Kansas City, Missouri, their family became complete with the birth of their son, Bobby.

Bob earned his Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of North Dakota, and later earned his Master of Business Administration from Central Missouri State University. He became a licensed Certified Public Accountant when he wasn't involved in his main line of work. Bob worked for Remington Arms in Kansas City, MO, as an Industrial Engineer. He was later transferred to Remington Arms in Lonoke, AR and moved his family to Sherwood. Bob retired after many years and then began working as an Accountant for Aerojet. It was during this time his wife, Lynda, passed away. When Bob was planning his retirement from Aerojet, he met another love, Maryann. After retiring from Aerojet, he moved to Hot Springs to finally enjoy retirement with Maryann.

Bob enjoyed boating trips along the Arkansas River with his wife, Lynda. Later on, Bob and Maryann enjoyed traveling the world, exploring Hot Springs and visiting with grandkids. He could also be found fishing Lake Hamilton with his neighbor, Pat. He also loved listening to good music, especially by Vince Gill. Bob always made time for dad jokes and knew when to deliver a good one.

He is survived by his daughter, Sarah Baker; son, Robert 'Bobby' Kuta; grandchildren, Rhone Kuta, Asher Kuta and Snowden Baker; brother, LeRoy Kuta (Donna) and special lady, Maryann Krusch.

Bob is preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Lynda Kuta; parents, Pete and Gertrude Kuta and brother, Ed Kuta.

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in North Little Rock.

My prayers, blessings, and love to my dear cousin’s family, friends, and loved one. He was a wonderful cousin and friend to me when we were growing up. We had many fun family memories at the farm and at UND. I felt happy and honored we could stay in touch over the years. He enjoyed telling me stories about his children and grandchildren fishing and traveling with his partner, Maryann. My sincere condolences to all of you. Annetta

Bob was my platoon sergeant in Vietnam, June, 1968 until he was wounded by a sniper and was medicated to the states. We found each other 30 years later and I was able to thank him for teaching me, for his bravery and intelligence. To his family and friends, I am sorry for your loss of this amazing man.

Sarah - You, Snowden and the rest of your family are in my prayers. Losing a Dad is really hard, but telling and re-telling stories about him and keeping photos of him out where you can see them will help keep him alive in your heart. I know he was very proud of both of you. I’m so sorry for your loss.
