of North Little Rock, AR
December 5, 1921 - April 20, 2024
Mable Taliaferro Little (Memommy) went to be with her Lord and Savior and reunited with her husband on April 20, 2024. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Badgett of Memphis, Tennessee and son, Clyde L. Little Jr. of Little Rock, Arkansas. Two granddaughters, Laurie (Tom) Harris of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Jessica (Jay) Thompson of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Seven Great Grandchildren, Jackson, Kate, Caroline and Thomas Harris and Trip, Molly and Lauren Thompson as well as one sister, Fern Newsom of Monroe, Louisiana.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Clyde L. Little Sr. and her sisters, Lucy Beckum, Doris Kope, Azalea Little, June Eudy and Patsye Brunson and her brothers, Roy, Jack and Rex Taliaferro.
Mable was born December 5, 1921 in Litroe, Louisiana where she received a firm foundation in hard work, responsibility, education and in the Lord from her parents, Ellie and Gene. She was a lifelong Baptist and tireless worker at Calvary Baptist Church in Rose City. She was an excellent cook and her specialty for the last 40 years has been chocolate pie. She and her late son-in-law, John, loved it, so that became the choice dessert for all.
A stay-at-home mother until she was 50, Mable then became a receptionist at Laing Sale for the next 20 years, however, the job she most enjoyed was as a volunteer on the front desk at North Little Rock Baptist Hospital. She was faithfully at her post once a week until into her 90th year and continued to meet for lunch on a regular basis with the friends she made there.
Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (give.cff.org) or St Jude (stjude.org).
Private family services will be held at a later date.
I had the pleasure of taking care of Mable until she passed. She was a lovely, kind and thoughtful woman. I enjoyed talkimg with her and hearing her stories. She loved her family very much. She enjoyed a good meal but especially her coffee in the morning. She spoke about how she lived a full life and was grateful for every day. I miss her and feel blessed to have known her. May she rest in peace.Thank you Mable for being so wonderful.

My heart aches for you and Clyde. Aunt Mable was a special lady who always cared for others. She will be missed.
My family and the Littles' were members of Calvary Baptist church in Rose City, NLR,AR. I grew up with Rebecca and Ms. Little was always so sweet to us growing up. She invited us church girls in her home all the time. She had the most beautiful smile and she wore it well. I know she's smiling now in Heaven. I can't wait to see you there, sooner or later. Rebecca, we aren't that far from our heavenly home. If you inherited your mother's genes, I will be waiting to see you. My deepest sympathy for you and yours. I lost my folks 20 yrs ago and I miss them every day, but time, and our Lord's comforting, ease somewhat. I'm here if you need me.
Mable Little was a blessing to all who knew her, especially as she aged. Her sparkle, wit, and positive attitude made her a pleasure to be around and her physical fitness at an advanced age was simply amazing. A strong Christian, she was a role model for everyone. We enjoyed lots of catfish, coconut pie at Charlotte's, and recalling the good old days in Rose City. I first met Mable as a teenage driver who frequented the Little's service station. Years before unleaded gas, I could run an entire weekend on 50 cents worth of gas in my 1956 Chevy. We worked together as hospital volunteers many years later and remained close until she slipped away to join Clyde, Sr. I will miss her but know she is exactly where she wanted to be. My sympathy to her family.
