Bill was my stepfather for ten years. In that time he taught me so many amazing things about survival in the woods, fishing, working on my VW, and what it means to be a solid human being. Thank you, Bill, for everything. For the safe home, the summers of waterskiing and tubing on Norfolk, for shooting mistletoe out of trees, and for all the fishing/float trips we took together, building lean-tos out of tarps on sand bars on the white river. I will always gloat about catching more bass than you on Crooked Creek, and I’m sorry for denting the door of your 1974 green ford pickup on high school. Rest easy, Bill, I hope Marty Robbin’s is in loop up there, talking about falling in love with a Mexican girl. Going to Columbia University from Ravenden Arkansas was a boss move. Mad respect forever.

Love, Kate

Dear Marge,
I’m so sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. My heart goes out to you and your family during this time of grief.
I hold a special place in my heart for both you and Bill. You were so important to me as I started my nursing career. We both started under Ms. Marion Bornmueller our manager for Ward One. Bill was and will always be my favorite administrator to work under. I remember caring for his mom Manila before he started as hospital administrator for Baxter.
I know you took excellent care of Bill in his later days. God bless you both!

Bill was not only a colleague, he was a great friend. He had a unique and positive (smiling & aw-shucks) way of communicating and working with the doctors and staff to lead Baxter hospital from being a small county seat hospital to being a true excellent medical Center. He leaves a great legacy. My condolences to all who lived Bill. Jack Wilson
