Aunt Chris was such a beautiful person. She has such a kind heart. She did so much over the years at her church and cooked food for so many families whom loved ones that passed away. She took care of her mother for many years. I can honestly say Aunt Chris's life was serving God. Her faith was so strong and she was also prayed for many people. And Chris loved her family and friends but she was a strong person. I will miss visiting her. Today at the funeral it was comforting in the sense knowing she always put God first, she got to live a very long life. But even though I will miss her so much I thought about how happy she must be seeing her brothers, sisters and parents. But even more than that seeing Jesus Christ. I know she is so happy. Aunt Chris I will always hold you in my heart. And thank you Roger and Marquita for all you have done for Aunt Chris. P.S. Roger I am sure Aunt Chris is up there praying that you will become a Republican instead of a Democrat. I can't tell you how many times she said you and her had conversations about politics. She loved you so much Roger and God knows how much you and Marquita did for her. For that I am grateful and God will bless you both for that.

Chris is my great aunt and yes she was a great lady. Strong in her faith and political views. We spent many an evening discussing a little of everything, family, politics, and even religion. We had freedom of expression.
She took care of her mother for many years and as a young mother I visited them with my oldest daughter.
Chris loved God and we loved her. She will be missed!

Christine, a die hard Republican, me a yellow dog Democrat, would argue politics everyday. I think this might have been a reason for her longevity.
Since I was honored with writing a short obituary, I just had to have the last political word and request donations in her honor to the Democratic Party.
I’m sure she is not happy about that, but she taught me to standup for my beliefs
And to carry on the family stubbornness in her absence. Christine was a warrior for god and country. She served as a civil service employee in the U.S. Department of defense in California from the beginning of World War II until retiring in the late 1970’s.

She was truly a remarkable lady, from a remarkable generation.

Who can I argue politics with now…..
