Sarah Alice Crow, 77, of Clinton, Arkansas went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 6, 2024. She was born on May 8, 1946 to Luther and Alvy Griggs in Clinton. Sarah will be truly missed by all who knew her. Her favorite word was family and her favorite people called her Nana. She enjoyed serving her church in the kitchen and nursery, by rocking the babies. Sarah loved sitting on the porch and spending every minute she could with family and friends, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was principal, teacher and counselor of ''Nana's School,'' where her grandchildren attended and always had good grades.
Sarah is preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband and love of her life, Don Crow and son-in-law, David Smith. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby Dean, Tommy Dan and Kent Griggs and sister, Meta Keeling.
Left to cherish her memory until we are together again are her daughter, Connie Smith and son, Billy Don Crow and his wife, Meggin; her grandchildren, Allison Smith, Weston Smith and his wife, Lindsey, Hannah and Eli Crow and great grandchildren, Oakley and Berkley David Smith. She is also survived by her sister, Peggy Massey. Sarah and Peggy enjoyed visiting on the phone every night. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Carolyn Mathis and Nancy Bennett and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers include family friend, Allen Aday and her nephews, Danny Griggs, Eric Griggs, Bobby Luther Griggs, Jeff Massey and Zeke Keeling. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 5-7 pm at Roller- McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Greenbrier where her son, Billy Don Crow, is pastor. Bro. Billy and Bro. Larry Loggins will be officiating. Interment will be at Dennard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gideons.
