Mary Ann Greer

of Harrison, AR

December 20, 1946 - April 2, 2024

Mary Ann Greer, age 77, was taken to rest by our Lord in heaven on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024. She was born in Richmond, California on December 20, 1946 and was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Lucas and her father, John Lucas.

Mary Ann was a very loving and caring woman who would talk to anyone she ran into. She was an extremely active member of Mission Bell Chapter #205, Order of Eastern Star, where she was a past worthy matron several times and was also a majority member of Bethel #15 International Order of Job's Daughters. Before meeting her true love, Ronald Greer, she was a secretary clerk at the District Attorney's Office in Richmond. Her favorite accomplishment was getting to go and meet, get a kiss and get a handkerchief with his sweat wiped on it from Elvis Presley when he played in Lake Tahoe.

Mary Ann married her true love, Ronald Greer, on September 5, 1971 and they were together until her passing. She then became an amazing homemaker to her two children, always helping with school activities, being the classroom mother, driving to their many sports activities and being there for them whenever they needed something. Mary Ann & Ronald moved to Harrison, Arkansas in 2003 after he retired from Chevron.

She is survived by her two children, Dawn Michelle and Robert. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Ana Greer; two grandchildren, Jake and Sammy Greer; two nephews, Mark and John Lucas and countless numbers of cousins and Masonic/Eastern Star family.

Mary Ann was a special woman. She loved her family much. I was the teacher of her children and she was always there to help in the classrooms and with fundraisers. She was kindhearted and I am sure the heavnsare rejoice with her presence. My sympathies goes to her entire family.

Rest in Peace Aunt Mary Ann. I am sure going to miss our talks. You have always been there for me when I needed someone to talk to. You will be dearly missed by all of us. It’s so hard to believe that you have now gone to heaven. Please say hello to my mom. I love you.
