August 21, 1925 - March 25, 2024

Mary Marie Cartwright Miller, 98, of Heber Springs, AR passed away on March 25, 2024. She was born on August 21, 1925 to parents, John and Alma Purlee Lafair in Henderson, TN.

Mary worked in the auto parts factory industry. She retired after 23 years from working on rebuilding starters, alternators and generators for cars at the Kimco Auto Parts factory. Mary was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, in West Memphis, AR. She loved to sew, make quilts, crochet, paint and all things art. She also loved teaching young children about Jesus. Her last spoken words were ''God is good'' and she is right, He is good all the time.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her spouses, William K. Cartwright and Raymond L. Miller; sons, Ken Cartwright, David Cartwright; stepson, Mack Cartwright and siblings, Bill Fay Lafair and Ruby Arnold.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Faye (Rob) Owens of Quitman, AR; 8 grandchildren, Amber (Drew) Barns, Jessica (Will) Roberson, Clay Hudspeth, Carrie (Chad) West, Jamie Lackey, Michael Cartwright, Joe (Shari) Cartwright, Laura Cartwright; 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Services for Ms. Miller will be held on March 29, 2024 in the Chapel of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Memphis, AR. Visitation will begin at 12 PM followed by the funeral at 1 PM. Burial will take place at Crittenden Memorial Park, Marion, AR.

Faye and Amber, I'm so sorry for your family's loss of sweet Ms. Mary. She was so very kind to me when I moved here. She loved Jesus and there's no doubt where she is today. It's sad to lose our loved ones on this earth, but oh, the joy of their homegoing!
