Joyce K. Housley, of Harrison, Arkansas passed away at the age of 81 at her home on Monday, March 25, 2024. Joyce was born March 17, 1943, to Troy and Myra (Baker) Patrick. Joyce was a member of CrossRoads Community Church. Her husband, John, was quite the fisherman and Joyce was employed for some time in the process of making fishing rods at what started over 45 years ago as Behrco and later became Ark-Rod. When she was able, she loved to enjoy activities with her grandchildren, Carson and Olivia Housley, whether going to basketball and baseball games, taking them fishing down by ''Auntie's'', a sewing lesson or two, or making apple strawberry juice at home. In the last few years, she enjoyed watching online events of Carson playing basketball and Olivia doing band and color guard. She loved the texts, calls, and visits from her many nieces and nephews scattered around Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. She enjoyed her church family and being able to contribute to the quilting group and their service to the church and community.
Joyce is survived by her son, Kevin Housley, and his wife, Wendy; her grandson, Carson and her granddaughter, Olivia all of Springdale, Arkansas. She is also survived by her sister, Bonita Presley of Flippin; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law in Arkansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her greatly.

I am so saddened by the loss of my good friend Joyce. I am so thankful that she reached out to me when I needed her and became part of my life. We phone chatted almost every day, a lot of laughs and long winded stories. She loved her family, so Kevin my heart goes out to you - she will be missed so very much.
Kevin and family, Your mother was a very kind and sweet person. I have known her for many years, since in the 60's when we worked at Levi's together. She was always positive and fun to be around.
Prayers for family.
Kevin and family,
I was so heartbroken to learn of Joyce’s passing. I met Joyce last year after she and my mother, Sally Darnell, became friends. It was such a joy to sit with Joyce in her lovely home where we had several visits. She was so very kind and gracious and fun to be around. Joyce was such a good friend to my mom and I am so very grateful for that friendship. I will miss her dearly.
So sorry for your loss. She was an amazing lady.

Kevin, I am so sorry and praying God’s comfort, strength and peace to you and all your family.
We would drive to Arkansas for 43 years and spend some very happy times with Joyce and John over the years. I am so glad we got to see Joyce last November. She will be in Heaven with John now. Linda treated her more like a sister than an aunt.
Words cannot describe how much Aunt Joyce meant to me. Countless memories of spending summers with her, uncle John and Kevin. I’m so glad I got to visit with her in November 2023. I will miss her so much.
Love and prayers to my Arkansas family.
So sorry to hear about Joyce. So thankful that I got to meet her back in the fall. Matt and I are praying for peace for y’all during this time.
As a kid, I loved going up to Harrison and spending time with Aunt Joyce and Uncle John. I’ll always remember she refused to get on the Fire in the Hole ride at Silver Dollar City due to a series of urban legends, haha. She will be missed and we loved her very much.
Kevin, I am so very sorry for your loss. I will be lifting you up in prayer.
No words can express how sorry we are for your loss. Your family is in our prayers.
We all love her so dearly. Such a special person in our lives.
