CHARLES VELTA GREENHAW, age 90, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024. He was born November 7, 1933 in Mt Judea, Arkansas the son of Velta and Vesta Greenhaw. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, infant Glenna Jo and Evon Davidson.
Charles is survived by his daughters, Chery Bradley of Colorado and Linda Corbett of Hawaii; five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He is survived by his devoted wife, Margaret, of fifty-two years and his siblings, Joyce Hankins, Darrell Greenhaw, Carolyn Purdy all of Harrison and Jean Powell of Wichita, KS and host of nieces and nephews.
Charles was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He spent most his life in the grocery industry as a butcher and had his own grocery store in Colorado. In 1980, he and Margaret moved to Harrison where he started raising beef cattle and goats. His real love was flying RC planes and was President of the Warthog's Flying Club. He also loved motorcycles where he and Marge enjoyed traveling to thirty-three states. Charles was a member of Northside Church of Christ.
A graveside service was held Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Maplewood Cemetery.
Nephews served as pallbearers.
