February 2, 1940 - March 17, 2024

Bill C. Henry, 84, of Quitman, AR went to be with the Lord, March 17, 2024. He was born February 2, 1940 in Conway, Arkansas to Eugene P. and Ora Lea (Douglas) Henry. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Toutan Henry of Graton, CA and Bo Henry of NLR, AR.

Bill graduated from Guy-Perkins in 1958. He went to work for his father in 1962 at Henry's TV. In 1973 he purchased the business from his father and worked all of his life. Bill was passionate about the work he did and helping people in his community. Bill enjoyed going to the horse races, casinos, traveling, dancing and being with his loving family. Bill earned his 50 year pin from the Holland Masonic Lodge in September 2023 and was a member of the Elks Lodge (NLR) and Moose Lodge (Sherwood). Bill served as a firefighter and Chief for the city of Quitman for 25 years. Bill was a pillar of his community who was respected by all. He was a jokester, who never met a stranger. Bill was loved and will be missed by all of his family and friends.

Bill is survived by the love of his life, of twenty-eight years, Constance Arendale Henry; his angel of a daughter, Samantha Marie Henry Davis (Samantha Dodge as he called her) and husband, Dalton and his two wonderful sons, Perry Henry (Pam) and Mike Carroll. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Stane and husband, Gary of North Little Rock; his brother, Todd Henry and wife, Wanda of Quitman; grandchildren, Austin, Anthony and Adelyn; great-grandson, Harrison; as well as nieces, nephews and many other family members and friends.

A Gathering to Celebrate his Life will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Ar.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at Baptist Health Medical Center in Conway and in Little Rock who lovingly cared for our Bill. We would also like to express our appreciation for the nurses at Arkansas Hospice for their wonderful care.

So sorry about Bill passing. He was so very good to my mother. Something I will never forget. She was on a very limited income after my Dad died. Her refrigerator went out. Bill brought her a new one out, installed it, carried the old one away, and let Mom pay it out. Mother asked what she else she could do for him. He wanted one of her chocolate pies, which were the bomb. She made him a pie and took it to him. Bill will be so missed. May God give you comfort through this difficult time.

Mr. Bill Henry was indeed a genuine man . He was good to my family sold my mom and dad and me also lots a appliances. I always enjoyed just going by and having a chat with him . I always got him to tell me about going to California when he was young man . I could listen to his tales about life and adventures. I always greatly appreciated him for helping me thru life with washing machines being broken down. I always thanked so much it seemed like he always knew just about how much was all I could spare for the job and it never equaled the total amount I had . I will never forget the real first television that would actually work and the color stayed on all the time he delivered it and set it up for us it was Christmas in July. He always helped my family no matter what and never said no. The man was truly genuine and had a heart for his community. His life shown and lead by example was his commitment to Quitman. My prayers go out to the family. Mr. Bill Henry you will definitely be missed.

Billy Clifton (as I called him) and I were classmates, friends and cousins. He was like the brother I never had. He lived life, and sometimes was bigger than that. We shared so many memories. His father and my father were 1st cousins and his mother and my father were also 1st cousins. We always joked that made us double cousins. He will be missed by all that knew him.

The moment I decided to become a Realtor, people started asking me for help locating rentals. During the pandemic it was hard to find anything reasonable. I asked everyone. One Quitman gas station lady said
“Bill Henry”.
He was reasonable, available and the rest was history. His desire to always help out the next person was palpable.
To Know Bill was to know kindness.
And if you ever got to meet This Connie;
his girlfriend for life,
his chosen bride,
you'd understand they were meant to help out anyone in need.
Today Alyza and I pray for you Connie and your children and grandchildren to have peace as we thank God for the memories of your Bill.
