of Shirley, AR
July 7, 1960 - March 16, 2024
Loyd Randall Gardner, born on July 7, 1960 embraced life with an unmatched work ethic and a steadfast commitment to perfection. He departed this earth on March 16, 2024. We bid farewell to a beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather ''Pop Pop'', whose presence was felt by all who knew him. Randall peacefully departed this world, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, love and unwavering determination. Born to Juanita Rolen Gardner and Ernest Gardner, Randall was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mildred McClendon and Euladene Holly and leaves behind cherished memories with his brothers and their spouses, Leon and Pat Gardner and Eugene and Brenda Gardner.
In 1980, Randall married Tyrene, with whom he shared 44 years of companionship, love and support. Their union was blessed with two children, Rebekah and husband, John Fincher of Conway and Cole and wife, Haley of Greenbrier. Randall's devotion to his family was evident in every moment spent together and his role as a father brought him immeasurable joy and fulfillment. The light of Randall's life was his four beloved grandchildren, Ethan Parker, Bennett Anderson, Hannah Beth and Jackson Morgan. He found immense happiness in their laughter and energy. His love for them knew no bounds and his legacy will continue to live on through the memories created in family vacations, weekend trips they shared, stories they told and afternoon drives on the farm.
Randall was known for his strong opinions and hard work. For over 43 years, he worked for Arkansas Telephone Company, dedicated to building a career at a place where his coworkers were as close as family. Over the years, it was not uncommon to hear colleagues refer to Randall as a brother. He approached every task with diligence, determination and a pursuit of excellence. His family and friends will forever remember Randall's strong cup of coffee in hand, ready to tackle any challenge. He found solace and joy in the simplicity of life on the farm, where he spent countless hours immersed in the beauty of nature and the satisfaction of hard work. Understanding the importance of community, Randall spent years as a voluntary coach for his kids' sports teams, served multiple terms over the past 25 years as an Alderman for the Shirley City Council and a member of the Board of Governors for Ozark Health Medical Center.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tyrene; two children, Rebekah Suzanne Gardner Fincher (John), Benjamin Cole Gardner (Haley); four grandchildren, Ethan, Hannah, Bennett and Jackson; two brothers, Leon (Pat) and Eugene (Brenda); mother and father-in-law, Benny and Doris Brown and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A service to celebrate Randall's life will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, March 20th at Settlement Baptist Church in Shirley, Arkansas and visitation will be on Tuesday, March 19th from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Roller Funeral Home in Clinton, Arkansas. All those whose lives were touched by Randall are invited to attend.

I just wanted to give my condolences to Randall's family. He was a customer of mine and was always talking about his family. Said he couldn't wait to retire with his lovely wife and always bragged about his kids and grandkids. He was incredibly devoted to Arkansas Tel and would do everything it took to get the job done. He was a great person.
I am so sorry I wasn’t able to attend services. My heart is heavy for you all. Randall was a great man and was highly respected by my immediate family. May he find peace until we can one day find ourselves on the other side.
Keeping you all in my prayers…

I am so very sorry for your loss!! He was a great man, I will miss him!! Sending love and prayers for Tyrene and the rest of his family!! Love to all of you??
Randall, was my favorite cousins. I will always cherish the long hikes in the woods, a few up the side of a mountain. He had me scared to death that we would come in contact with a bear. He was always laughing, pulling a joke here and there. We had long deep talks in our younger years of life, what he wanted out of life.
I have to say he got it all that he asked for. A life in the mountains being outside hunting or just taking walks. God also gave him a loving wife and family. I just wish that we could have spent as much time together as adults as we did as kids growing up.
I will always have a special place in my heart for Randall.
I once read that GREIF is so hard because of the way you loved someone, and the way that love was returned.
I won't say good bye, I will say till we meet again on the golden side of that mountain. You took a peice of my heart with you, and I will hold your memories close to my heart.
Condolences and prayers to the Gardner family
