Tammy Jo Gunter, 61, of Morrilton, formerly of Batesville, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024.
She was born October 21, 1962 in Anaheim, California to Edmond Ray Gunter and Lois Maxine McEndree Gunter Cantrell.
Tammy was a joy all the time and was pure love. She was always happy and loved to laugh. She enjoyed working at White River Specialized Industries and was a resident of Kitty Barnett Group Home for many years. She participated in the Special Olympics and beauty pageants. Tammy loved American flags, Bill Clinton, and Channel 4. She loved to play board games and games such as Skip-Bo, Yahtzee, Uno, and Trouble. She also enjoyed playing Barbie Dolls and had a massive collection. Tammy loved strawberry cake, which she called cornberry cake.
Survivors include one brother, Dr. Michael Ray Gunter (Norma) of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Janet Scudder (Darrell) of Morrilton, Judy Altom (Dale) of Batesville; a step-brother, Danny Cantrell (Beth) of Conway; nieces, Kelly McCarver, Dr. Randi House, Scheri Richburg; nephews, Curtis Fitzpatrick, Ryan Altom, Matthew Gunter, and many other nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her step-father, Vernon Cantrell.
Pallbearers are Curtis Fitzpatrick, Caimen Fitzpatrick, Kylan Fitzpatrick, Matthew Gunter, Travis House, and Ryan Altom. Honorary pallbearers are the staff and residents at Kitty Barnett Group House.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 11:00am at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville with Nelson Barnett officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00am until 11:00am just before the service.

I can remember when we were in high school and driving around Tammy would always go with us. She was such a trooper. She will be missed greatly and she was loved more than words can express.
