Danny Wade Betterton, 76, of Osceola passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024. He was born in Burdette, AR on October 26, 1947 to J. D. and Veteral Betterton. He was a retired truck driver for America Freightways and was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed mowing yards for his friends and neighbors. He spent time with his children, grandchildren, family and friends when he could. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Betterton; son, Gary Brister Jr. (Devon); daughters, Yvette Betterton, Carla Spier, April Mullins, Dana Pearson (John) and DeAnn Robinson (James); 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Betterton and sisters, Betty Helper and Lynn Betterton. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Dennis Betterton and David Betterton.
I will and do miss all the Luther Betterton family. They were my Grandparents.

One of my best childhood friends for sure. We managed to do a lot of different things together from trashing pecan trees, throwing Osceola Times papers, running projectors at the Murr theater and wrestling people at school. Sad that’s he’s not living but glad he’s in a better place. Condolences to the family.
