Sara Elizabeth (Frizzell) Carney, 84, born April 28th, 1939 to the late Georgie and Theodore Frizzell in Humphrey, Arkansas passed away, she was the fourth of ten Children.
Sara is survived by her husband, William Bryant Carney. Sons, Bryant Craig Carney (Wanda), Douglas Allen Carney (Karen), Jeffrey Ivan Carney (Linda) and Jon Eric Carney. She also left behind 8 grandchildren, Craig's children, Brennan, Ayzia, Grayson and Cindy and Doug's children, Kyle, Kellie and Laura. Jeff's daughter, Seaera and nine great- grandchildren. Her Surviving Siblings are Ruby Rogers of Washington, Pat Sublett of Tennessee, Gwendolyn Way of Oregon, Edward Frizzell and Donnie Frizzell both of Conway, Arkansas and a host of nieces and nephews. Sara was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Georgie, 3 sisters and 1 brother. Odel Wilson, Francis Parker, Billy Ross and Teddy Frizzell.
Sara graduated from high school at Des Arc, Arkansas in 1957. After graduating she attended bible school in Baxter Springs, Kansas where she met Roland and Loretta Haney. She met them later in Snell, Mississippi to help them in their church. While there, they went to visit Eddie and Nellie Carney of Henton, Alabama where she met Bryant their son. After a short courtship, they married November 25th of 1960 and lived in Butler, Alabama. Soon they move to Hinton, Alabama close to Bryant's parents. They started a family nearly a year later when they had their first boy of four, Craig. A couple years later they had twin boys, Doug and Jeff. In 1968 they felt led to follow the Lord and moved to Arkansas. They settled in the small town of Leslie, where Bryant found a job as a milk truck driver and delivery man. In 1974 they added the fourth of the boys when they had Jon.
They attended the Ozark Chapel where Sara played piano and sang every Sunday for over 30 years. Her passion was following the Lord, her family and enjoying her grandkids and great grandkids. She was the glue that held the family together and the one that always brought joy to the room with her laughter. She was loved by everyone that met her.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 6, 2023 from 6:00- 8:00PM at Roller McNutt in Greenbrier.
Funeral Service will begin at 10:00AM Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Roller McNutt with Burial following at Centerpoint Cemetery in Quitman, AR.
I'm so very sorry for the loss of my sweet, sweet Aunt Sara. Knowing she is with our Lord is a comfort but the fleshly part of me wants her here with us all. I truly loved that lady tho I apologize dearly for not being able to attend her service due to reasons beyond my control, still she will be forever in my heart.
Uncle Bryant and cousins I will continue to pray for you all asking that our Father will fill your hearts with His peace and comfort. I love you all.
My heart breaks for the family as I heard this news. Praying for Mr. Carney and the rest of the family as I know how much he loved his sweet wife.

Aunt Sara was one of my favorite aunts. She will always be remembered by me for here beautiful smile and loving heart. She will be truly missed and remembered by all for here positive and caring personality. I love you Aunt Sara!
Sara was a special lady, I pray for peace and comfort for you all during this difficult time. Sara kept my son Adam when he was a toddler and I also got to know her when we worked at the bank together. She will be greatly missed.
I got to know Sara and Bryant when they moved to Leslie and we All became friends. Sara was a fine upstanding lady and she and Bryant raised a fine upstanding family. Sara will be missed greatly by all who knew her

Aunt's Sara's laughter and smile will always resonate in my heart as if it is the definition of warmth and comfort itself. I always felt that her presence was a portal straight to Heaven. She is now enjoying the treasures on the other side. I love you, Aunt Sara. So very much. Thank you for your love. I'll hold it forever, until I see you again.
Oh how I loved this woman! She became our Momma Sara when she agreed to babysit my baby girl many years ago, but long before that I loved her and her family of guys as we attended church and grew up together.
