Ms. Cleta J. King, 97, of Searcy passed on Saturday, February 24, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Eulyis Joyner and one sister, Valeta Young.
She was a member of First Methodist Church in Searcy. She loved baking cakes and preparing food for her friends and family.
Ms. King is survived by her daughter, Bettie (Travis) Simpson.
Final arrangements were entrusted to Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy. A private burial will be held later.

Sorry to read about your mom, she was a great person. The last time you brought her to Mom and Dad, Mama had a Dr appointment that was supposed to be brief. She wanted to reschedule so she should be with your mom. I regret not rescheduling because. We D\didn't get to see her.

Betty me and mother are so sorry for your loss Ms. King was mom's best friend mother and me send our condolences to you and your family. Love you and Ms. King will be missed dearly she was a woman with the kindest heart and we are glad we got to know her. She may be gone but will NEVER be forgotten.
Sorry to here about Mrs. King. Betty Ann you may not remember me but about 60 years ago I stayed with you because you had a broke leg and your mother and dad were in the berry patch. I also pick berries for them when i got a little older. Sorry for your lost.
Betty Ann, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Cleta when we picked strawberries for her and Garland. Lots of good memories. My prayers are with you as you go thru this difficult time.

Betty Ann, I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. I wrote to her one time after she moved to CA, but then lost contact while we were in MS. She was my sunday school teacher at Holly Springs MBC when I was a kid and I picked strawberries for her a few times. She was always good to my family. May God bless you.
