of Plover, WI
August 27, 1939 - February 23, 2024
Patricia Ann Kopacz Zawislak, age 84, of Plover, Wisconsin died Friday, February 23, 2024. For eight years she lived at ''The Lodge'' in Plover, with her last week spent at Memory Care at Whispering Pines.
She was born in Tennessee on August 27, 1939. She lived all of her life in Arkansas, except for her last eight years. Patricia was the daughter of James (Jake) A. Kopacz and Ann (Annie) Martha Koscielny Kopacz. She married Joseph H. Zawislak October 29, 1960.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and a younger brother, James (Jimmy) P. Kopacz who died in 1951. She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Kopacz Williams and her brother-in-law, Dr. Richard S. Williams of Plover, Wisconsin and cherished friends and relatives.
For the eight years she spent in Plover, she enjoyed living at The Lodge Assisted Living where she enjoyed, music, bingo, rosary and church services, not necessarily in that order. Mostly she loved the people in her community at The Lodge. The residents and the staff were her friends and extended family. That family broadened when she moved to Memory Care. She would want everyone to know how much she loved you all.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 18, at 1:30 p.m. at The Lodge, in Plover, Wisconsin.
Visitation will be Friday, April 12, at 10:00 a.m., Rosary at 10:30 a.m., and A Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in the Marche Community. Burial to follow at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking you take a moment to remember Patricia, and in so doing, perform an act of kindness. That is Patricia's legacy, as she was the kindest, strongest person to grace our lives.
My deepest condolences my thoughts and prayers are with the family members. Patricia was a sweet lady who will be missed by all that knew her.
My mother chose Patsy to be my Godmother when I was born 64 years ago. She always sent me cards up until last year. I always looked forward to receiving her cards -- they were beautiful every year and I in turn would send her one on special occasions. What I do know is that Patsy was a very special person in my life-- serving as my Godmother for all of these years and never forgetting about me. She was a kind and generous person to everyone she met. I know she will be missed by everyone. My thoughts and prayers go to Elizabeth & Richard. I will truly miss her.
Love and Prayers,
Becky
Patricia was a true angel on this earth. I have such dear memories of her as a little girl on her parents’ farm in Arkansas. We would pick eggs from the chickens, walk the beautiful property and enjoy each other’s company. She was so helpful to my grandmother in her later years. I look forward to seeing her in heaven one day. This is a see you later, not goodbye. Love you.
I am so sorry for your loss. Pat lived across the street on Idlewild North little Rock from my mom Mary Anne Baker. They stayed in touch until Mom passed in 2022. You are in my prayers.
