Harvey ''Ollie'' Reeves passed away on February 22, 2024. He was born July 12, 1942 to Izzy and Myrtle Reeves. Harvey was a hardworking man. He started working as a farmer from a very young age. In adulthood, he worked as an assembly operator for Hytrol, where he later retired. In his spare time, Harvey enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, building things and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren.
Harvey was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Vester Reeves, Arthur Reeves, Ether Reeves, Joe Reeves and sisters, Katheryn Jones, Nellie Sue Jones, and Dorothy Lally.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of nearly 24 years, Dona Reeves; daughter, Tina (Tommy) Bass; step-son, Garrett (Jamey) Bond; step-daughter, Amy (Will) Cozart; grandchildren, Alicia, Candice, Brandon, Brianna, Dakota, McKenzie; step-grandchildren, Dylan, Jacob, Ricky, Logan and Rylee (Braxton); 13 great grandchildren; 3 step-great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and sister, Carolyn Oswalt.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home at 11:00am with Pastor Greg Hoskins officiating. A visitation will precede on Monday, February 26, 2024 from 10:00am-11:00am at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Pine Log Cemetery.
Those serving as pallbearers are Alex Haney, Dakota Bass, Brandon Bass, Caleb Markum, Maurice Oliver and Brian Inzer.
Honorary bearer: Dylan Craig.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.
Grandpa Ollie was a wonderful man he was always there for all of the family. And was always hard working, loved to fish, hunt, and gardening. I send my condolences and deepest love out to the family.
