Anna (Ann) Lynn Gray, 91, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024 at NEA Hospital in Jonesboro. Ann was born on October 30, 1932 in Brookland, AR to Ernest and Ora Watson. As a young child, her family moved to Weiner, AR and after graduating from Weiner High School, Ann went on to attend business college as well as ASU. She was a faithful member of Weiner First Baptist Church, serving as pianist for 78 years. She had the distinction of being the last charter member of the church. Ann retired after 35 years as Manager of General Services Administration and she then went to work for Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home in Weiner, where she stayed for 19 years.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Clint Lynn and her son in law, Robert Sande Puryear.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Clyde A. Gray and a daughter, Diane Lynn Puryear both of Jonesboro; a grandson, Jerry Puryear and his wife, Erin and 3 great grandchildren all of Little Rock.
A visitation will be held Monday, February 19, 2024 beginning at 9:30 am at Weiner First Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow at 11am with Rick Clark officiating. A private burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Weiner.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.

I was so sadden to learn of Mrs. Ann Lynn Gray's passing. Know that I, along with your other family and friends, will be lifting each of you up to GOD, the Master Comforter, now and in the days ahead. May you feel the LORD's arms wrapped around you during this time of loss. What a legacy Mrs. Ann leaves here in this temporary world! Wish I could have attended the service but I am the 24/7 caregiver for my 89 year old Mother who has dementia and is bedfast. Know I was with you in spirit and praying for you during the service.
Diane I am so sorry, I was so hurt hearing about Mrs. Gray. She will be truly missed. Mr Gray I am so sorry for your loss. I will keep y’all in my prayers.
