Dorine Inman, a devoted educator and beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 15, 2024 in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 87.
Born on June 24, 1936 in Mena, Arkansas, Dorine graduated from the Arkansas State Teachers College (now the University of Central Arkansas) and later earned a Masters degree in education from Henderson State University.
Dorine's legacy lives on through her two sons, Dean Inman of El Dorado, Arkansas and David Inman (Priscilla) of Little Rock, Arkansas. Her favorite people were her four grandchildren, Katie Poole (Eric) of El Dorado, Arkansas and Will Inman, Thomas Inman and Elizabeth Inman all of Little Rock, Arkansas and great granddaughter, Charlotte Poole of El Dorado.
Dorine was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Willis Birch Inman and her daughter, Ann Cordillia Inman.
Throughout her career, Dorine was a dedicated educator, finding particular joy in teaching young children to read. Most of her career was spent in the Arkadelphia public school system, where she had an unforgettable impact on many lives. She was a longtime faithful member of First Presbyterian Church in Arkadelphia, where she enjoyed serving in various roles.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dorine was known for her love of solitude. In her free time, she was often found at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee and a book or crossword puzzle. She also found solace and joy in creating, preparing and arranging elaborate dinner parties, relishing the opportunity to orchestrate memorable gatherings for others to enjoy, even if she preferred not to attend herself.
The ultimate care giver, Dorine Inman's life was one of dedication, love and quiet strength. She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her for her wisdom, sense of humor and unwavering commitment to her family and students.
A graveside service will be held in Neoga, IL at a later date.

I'm just now seeing this about Mrs. Inman. I will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart for this lady! She was my kindergarten teacher in the early 70's. I still have gifts she brought me from one of her trips when I was in the hospital at 6 years old. Rest in love, Mrs. Inman.

Always having my back, Dorine was the epitome of a best friend. I couldn't ever be the kind of friend she was for our 40+ years because she was a secret-keeping, generous, loyal person who loved her family and her friends and helped us up when we failed. I miss you, Dorine.

Dorine Inman and I taught together at Central Elementary school in Arkadelphia for many years. .
She was an awesome educator. One of the best Kindergarten teachers.
She was a great cook.
Dorine was a wonderful friend of mine.
My sincere condolences to her family. Dorine will be truly missed.

I remember your mom so well from when we were at Henderson State University. She lived just a few blocks away from us, and I do not remember ever seeing her without a big smile and a kind word. She was a sweet woman.
