December 18, 1967 - February 11, 2024
Brian Neil Gay passed away peacefully on February 11, 2024. He was born December 18,1968 in Searcy Arkansas to Shirley A. Surratt (Strayhorn) and the late Marion R. Gay.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley A. Surratt (Strayhorn); two daughters, Morgan P. Gay and Courtney M. Fenske and his brother, Richard L. Gay (Paula).
Brian worked early as a tool and die machinist and later had a Commercial painting business.
Brian loved everything outdoors, with fishing being number one on the list. He mastered the duck call and was one of the best. The thing he loved most of the outdoors was the shared experiences and great fellowship.
Brian had a passion for barbequing and using a smoker. He excelled at both and provided great meals at cookouts. Above all, Brian loved people and never met anyone he couldn't talk to and become friends. He was always trying to help someone in need. As the saying goes, he would give them the shirt off his back. Brian will be missed by all who knew him.
Sure hate to hear this. I loved this guy. I will miss you biscuit.
Brian will truly be missed...he had to pass my house to get to his and never hesitated to stop and talk or help in whatever was going on. Past storms,. we cut many fallen trees up , he had to show off the chainsaw. Will miss his jokes and late night bon fires by the lake. He was a good hearted person. To his family I pray for peace and comfort with ability to celebrate his life without sadness . Fly high my friend...
