of Heth, AR
August 22, 1956 - January 31, 2024
James W. "Jimmy" Meador Jr. of Heth, Arkansas departed this life on January 31, 2024. He was born on August 22, 1956.
He was the son of James W. Meador Sr. and Joyce Cordell Meador, both of whom preceded him in death. He was a business owner and farmer.
A man who loved the outdoors, you could often find him sitting in a duck pit, looking for a deer or trying to catch a big fish. But he especially loved getting on a tractor, as it was his escape. He was a pillar of the community he grew up in, having established many family businesses throughout the years.
His business savvy was known by many and helped him develop many dedicated friendships. He never met a stranger and helped so many through the years, having a kind heart through that tough exterior.
Jimmy leaves behind his three daughters, Stacie Meador, Dawne King and Laura Meador (Andrew Murphy). He was also ''papaw'' to his five grandchildren, Trevor Pulliam, Jordan Pulliam, Destiny King, Brayden King and Evelyn ''Evie'' Murphy. He is survived by his sister, Fairy (Rusty) Miller and his brother, Sammy (Stephanie) Meador and a host of other relatives in his extended family. He is also survived by his stepmother, Pat Meador and stepsister, Michelle Hester.
He leaves behind a magnitude of close friends which include his dedicated office administrator, Kay Hydrick and faithful farmhand, Frank Garcia, both of whom were like family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jimmy's honor to Shell Lake Baptist Church in Heth, Arkansas or the charity of the donor's choice.
