Vicki Ruth Holden Dahlem passed peacefully on January 30, 2024. She was born on July 22, 1950 to Murle and Ray Holden in Bell, California. She grew up in southern California, graduated from Bell Gardens High School in 1968 and nursing school in 1970. In 1969, she married Robert ''Bobby'' Dahlem. She moved to Arkansas in 1978 with Bobby, daughter, Shannon, a dog, rabbits and goldfish.
She began work at White County Memorial Hospital (Unity Health) as an ICU nurse, later becoming the manager of the Critical Care Unit in 1980. She trained many nurses and provided healing and care to many patients. In total, she worked 46 years as an ICU/CCU nurse. Nursing and caring for others was her passion and life calling. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Searcy, Arkansas where she taught a missionary study (GAs) to girls in first through sixth grades for several decades. Vicki loved growing flowers, doing crafts, raising butterflies and caring for others. She was loved by many.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bobby of Searcy, AR; daughter, Shannon of Searcy, AR; sister, Teresa Lathrop (Sean) of Honolulu, HI; brother, David Holden (Tammy) of Springdale, AR; nieces, Shelby Harrison (Forrest) of Springdale, AR, Jessie Mallet (Arthur) of Honolulu, HI; nephews, Zachary Lathrop of Tokyo, Japan; Connor Lathrop of Honolulu, HI; Matthew Holden of Fayetteville, AR; one grandchild, RJ Kuh (Jessie) of Valier, IL and two great grand daughters, Lorelei and Adelaide Kuh of Valier, IL along with many friends.
Services are scheduled for a Visitation on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 6:00 8:00 PM with a Celebration of Life to be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 2:00 PM both of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home Chapel in Searcy.

Sorry for your loss Bob and Shannon. Remembering the time Bob when we were headed to Little Rock to watch the TRAVELERS play and you became concerned about Shannon and we turned around and headed back home. I will be praying for You.
Absolutely LOVE this lady. Took a chance on me working in CCU right out of nursing school. Gave me a wonderful nursing career, lifeling friends, and a wonderful friendship!!
She will be greatly missed, but with God now, who will comfort and care for her.

Vicki accepted me into the CCU unit as a new grad in 2002. She was a wonderful boss, nurse and friend. She gave me guidance, grace and encouragement through the years. She truly loved what she did and always spoke love for her family. Thank you Vicki for sharing a part of your life with me.

Vicki was one of the kindest nurses I have ever known. She had a heart of gold and will be so missed.
