Rosa Nell (Rose) Evans passed away peacefully, with her loving children by her side on January 29, 2024. She was 82. She was born April 23, 1941 in McRae, Arkansas to the late Archie and Nellie (Corbitt) Evans of Searcy.
Rose was a very strong woman who had a devout faith in God. She taught her children the value of hard work through her example. She was very loyal to those she loved and she loved unconditionally, but wasn't shy about speaking her mind if she disagreed with you. Throughout her life, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.
She is survived by four children, Samanthia (Josh) Beattie of Charlotte, NC, Sam (Christy) Baker of Fort Mill, SC, Valarie (David) Norfleet of Troy, IL and Johnny (Melissa) Price of Burlington, KY; Her brothers, Richard (Linda) Evans of Hot Springs and David (Athena) Evans of Hot Springs, AR and her honorary step-daughter, Leigh Ann Baker.
She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren who called her ''Grandma Rose'', 2 great grandchildren, 4 loving nieces, 2 nephews, as well as cousins, extended family and very special, loving friends of many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Arlie Wayne Evans and her son, Vernon Lynn Price.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will forever be remembered by those whose lives she touched. As we bid farewell to Rose, let us remember the joy she brought, the lessons she imparted and the love that continues to connect us all. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her memory will live-on in the hearts of those she has touched.
She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
A visitation will be held for Rose on Sunday, February 4, 2024 from 1 PM until 2 PM at Roller Daniel Funeral Home, 411 E Race Ave, Searcy AR 72143. Miss Rosa Nell and my mom, Edna Lockhart Brannon were close friends, so it made perfect sense that Samanthia and I were besties growing up. We did everything together. Miss Rosa Nell was a beautiful person, inside and out. I absolutely adored her. She was very funny and her smile and laugh were contagious.
My deepest condolences to the entire family. May you find peace, comfort and strength in your fond memories of her.
Much love,
Terri
