Charles Hunter Johnston, 66, of Helena, AR passed away on January 26, 2024. He was born on February 23, 1957 to the late Mary Elizabeth Cantrell and Benjamin Earl Johnston.
He graduated from Central High School in 1975. He worked at Goodyear and for many years was a lineman for TCA Cable then Cox Communication. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles.
He is survived by his only daughter, Rebecca Johnston Allen (Brad) of Collierville, TN; 1 step grandson, James Walker Allen; brother, William Wayne Johnston (Alice) of Hamburg; 4 nieces; 1 nephew; 5 great nieces and 2 great nephews. Along with a host of family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Earl; mother, Mary Elizabeth; brother, Dennis; sister, Cynthia Ann Smith and nephew, Jacob Smith.
The family would especially like to thank his friend, Wendell Brister, for his kindness.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Charles, I have so many memories of you & our childhood. We lived across the street from each other the 1st 6 years of our life. We were in Morning Glory Kindergarten & 1st grade at the same time. It’s true your cousins are your 1st friends. Dennis, Willie, Robert, you & I certainly had a fun filled childhood. Cynthia Ann joined us a few years later. I’m so glad that I got to visit with you a couple of
