Douglas Stewart, 89, of Fox, Arkansas passed away on January 21, 2024. He was born on June 26, 1934 in Alco, Arkansas.
Doug is survived by his loving wife, Maggie Stewart and their children, Mike (Tammy) Stewart and Judy (Chris) Schiefer. He was a cherished grandfather to Jason (Jessica) Stewart, Jessica (Steve) Brown, Andrew (Kristie) Stewart, Jennifer Schiefer and Elizabeth Schiefer. Douglas also leaves behind great-grandchildren, Maddy (Drake) Brannon, Alyssa Brown, Kamden Stewart, Octavia Stewart and Presley Stewart.
Douglas is preceded in death by his parents, Bertha Lawrence Stewart and George Stewart, as well as his brothers, Woodrow Stewart, Lowice Stewart and Joe Stewart and his sisters, Bonnie Irvine, Veneda Estes and Virgie Mauk.
Visitation for Douglas will take place on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 9:00-10:00 AM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 10:00AM with Brother Maclin Litaker, Rev. Jennifer Schiefer and Tom Martin officiating. Douglas will be interred at the Historical Cemetery of Mountain View following the service.
Pallbearers are Tom Martin, Matt Martin, Steve Brown, Drake Brannon, Kenny Perry and Tony Shannon.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you consider making a donation to the charity of your choice.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I alwsys thought alot ofDoug and Maggie and I pray for Gods strength during this time.
We are so sorry for your loss. He was such a sweet and kind man. I got to know him and Maggie as I worked at the hospital in Mountain View with Jason. Ronnie knew him from being raised at Sunnyland and Jacob knew him from the Co-op. I didn't realize till now he was Joe's brother. They were both so nice. We pray that God comforts you all in a way that only he can.

Maggie, Mike and Judy we were so sorry to hear of Uncle Doug’s passing. We know your faith will bring you the strength you need in this time. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. We will be praying for Jennifer as she leads her grandpa’s service. I’m sure Doug is looking down with pride.
