Beth Bradford, age 81, of Harrison, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Hillcrest Home in Harrison. She was born September 17, 1942, in Alpena, Arkansas, the daughter of Orville A. and Ethelyn M. (Still) Wright. Along with her parents, Beth was preceded in death by her sister, Anna Kidwell.
Beth grew up on the family farm on Lick Branch in northwest Boone County. Upon graduating from Alpena High School in 1960, she attended St. Vincent's School of Nursing in Little Rock earning her registered nursing certification. She worked for the Family Doctors Clinic in Harrison until the family moved to Booneville, Arkansas in 1973, returning to Harrison in 1980.
Beth married the love of her life, Hansel Bradford on November 24, 1963, in Harrison. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, a good book, her pets, and just about any kind of wildlife one could imagine. Most of all she enjoyed being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a long-time member of the Cumberland Presbyterian and United Methodist churches. For many years she enjoyed being a part of the Hilltop Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary Quilting Group.
Beth is survived by her husband, Hansel D. ''Brad'' Bradford; her sons and daughters-in-law, John and Linda Bradford and Wes and Carol Bradford all of Harrison; her grandchildren, Josh Bradford and his wife, Kendra, Sarah Davis and her husband, Ben, Jacob Bradford and Matthew Bradford; her great-grandchildren, Emery Bradford, Linley Bradford, Aria Bradford, Beau Davis and Jax Davis; her siblings, Orville Wright, Jr., Mary Thomason, Rebecca Grim and Kathy Wright and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation was on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
The funeral service was on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Rev. David Williams officiating.
Pallbearers were Josh Bradford, Jacob Bradford, Matthew Bradford, Ben Davis, Jim Harp, and Bill Rowland.
Honorary pallbearers were the Staff of Hillcrest Home.
The interment was in Maplewood Cemetery.
