Imogene Walls Hammond, 91, of Kensett, Arkansas passed away at Unity Health on January 12, 2024. She was born August 3, 1932 in Searcy, Arkansas to the late W. M. and Elena Dyer Walls.
Imogene married the love of her life, Wesley F. Hammond, on May 6, 1950. They were very active at Kensett First Baptist Church, he as a deacon and she as a Sunday School teacher. They shared 62 wonderful years together until his passing in 2012. She retired after 20 years at Simmons First Bank in Searcy.
Imogene is preceded in death by her parents and husband. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Joe Alan Hammond; three grandchildren, Leslie Cypert, Cheyenne Hammond and Sean Lee Hammond and two great grandchildren, Marshall Cypert and Ari Cypert.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kensett First Baptist Church 308 W Wilbur Mills Ave, Kensett, AR 72082.
The family would like to give special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Unity Health for their outstanding love, care, and compassion.
Imogene's last wish is for everyone to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Mrs. Imogene was such a light for all who knew her. She always had a smile wherever she went. Worked with her some while she worked at Simmons Bank. Prayers for her family. She will be missed!

I knew her when she worked at Simmons bank help anybody she could wonderful woman and always talk about Jesus she will be missed she is waiting for us to join her in heaven if she could talk she would say to all of just be here in heaven with me
