June 10, 1938 - January 8, 2024
Marjorie Ann Noland, fondly referred to as Margie (and MawMaw by her grandkids), passed away on January 8, 2024. She was born on June 10, 1938 in Gould, Arkansas. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a cherished member of Central Baptist Church.
Margie was married for 55 years to the love of her life, Bill Noland, until his passing in 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas and Sally Calhoun and her sisters, Jean Johnson and Joann Price.
She left behind a loving family, including her son, Dave Noland (Cathy); daughters, Billie O'Quin (Roger) and Kay Gilmore (Doug). Her memory will continue to live on through her grandchildren, Sydney Gilbert (Luke), Chris O'Quin (Sasha), Noland Gilmore (Sara), Logan Gilmore (Ethan), Alana Gilmore, Miles Noland and Hendrix Noland and her great-grandchildren, Andrew Gilbert, Fiona O'Quin, Connor O'Quin, Ellie Joy Gilmore and Ezra Gilmore.
Margie's independent mind and love for her family defined her. She was proud of her children and grandchildren. She found joy in life's simple pleasures, such as spending time with family, socializing with friends from church and watching her favorite western TV shows. Her favorite place to unwind and relax was Gulf Shores, Alabama, where she would go with her family.
A celebration of her life will be held at Central Baptist Church on January 11, 2024 at 10:30am. A visitation will be held one hour before the service at 9:30am.
Following the service, she will be laid to rest at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
Margie's enduring spirit, love and dedication to her family will not be forgotten and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
We pray that the Lord gives you the grace and comfort needed for this difficult time. Heaven becomes sweeter with the passing of each loved one.
Sincerely,
Dubs and Jane Byers
